  1. POWER RANKINGS: note that is not the standings, rather a breakdown and analysis of performance up to this point coupled with anticipated future success or failure based on current roster, injuries and future matchups

1)Joe D.- although I love Tims squad as well, and Tims victory vs Joe D carries a lot of weight, the nod goes to Bruce. His QBs vs Tims and the return of Antonio Gates being the primary reason. It provided that little bit of an edge between the two. Getting Frank Gore for free along with adding Ware didnt hurt either.

2)Tim- These 2 have been the class of the league thus far without question. For as good as Joes team is, Tim beat him straight up in their head to head. If it wasnt for one of those fluky GFFL classics that cost him a game against the Beesch, #1 would go to Tim. In fact, it still almost did but getting Gore and Ware proved too much to ignore.

3)Schmabby- with Steven Jackson and Michael Turner heating up, adding Roddy White and the anticipated return of Andre Johnson, Schmabby should get right back in this. His week 8 matchup with Chuck, who beat him in wk 1, could prove crucial. He has a ton of talent.

4)Chuck- without his usual cadre of dominant WRs I am hard pressed to find a lot to like about Chucks team. Brady, of course, and it's possible Torain and/or Thomas could bolster that below average group of RBs but outside of that?? With that being said, Chuck beat me and I barely beat a guy who did not score a fucking point with his RBs!

5)Peter- to my defense Willie did take away 50 pts!! Adrian Peterson, in only his 5th season, is already an alltime GFFL great. Where would I be without him? Despite Jamaal Charles playing only a game and a half before being lost for the season with a devastating knee injury, BJ got the better end of the trade with Chris Johnson. I have NO answers to how awful he has been. Big shout outs to my QBs Eli and Cam who both have had an outstanding first half.

6)BJ- really not sure what the hell he has been doing. Trades a 3rd pick for Vernon Davis, claims HOU RB Ben Tate AFTER Foster came back, trades Roddy White and Ed Reed in what appeared to be a retreat, then trades a draft pick for J Starks and makes a claim?????????????????????????????

7)Willie- he trades FOR Calvin Johnson and then trades AWAY Frank Gore for minimal value?? With Run DMC and Gore in the backfield, MVP Aaron Rodgers as his QB and Megatron made Willie a threat regardless of his record. Last year he snuck into the playoffs at .500, which certainly ould have been done again, and won the whole thing. Honestly, I cant believe he quit and in turn affected the balance of power by giving away Gore. This was a stark reminder as to why The Godfather, Peter K, banned trading draftpicks. Personal relationships possibly affecting the outcome of a season. My question is this: If you were looking to next year, why not tell the league guys are available and sell to the highest bidder???

Source- whats to say?? He quit early, has guys to protect and stockpiled draftpicks for next year. At least he traded with half the league
