2012 Rosters

So, losers. And I say that with all do respect, because I will be winning the league so that means the rest of you have all lost in some way or fashion to me. But I digress...

So, losers. Here are the rosters for the 2012 Season Week 1.

I have successfully deciphered chicken scratch, missing people, and players without teams. I'd like to publicly thank Peter, Willie and Joe K for fulfilling the request of adding the team of the player along with your roster. Extra credit to Peter and Willie for full names.  Joe D did just as well, with full names and teams for the entire defense. Thanks. And the "really?" award goes to Schmab, who submitted a roster of 31. There is nothing more enjoyable than hunting down names on the draft board. Well, other than wrestling with a porcupine.

READ THIS !!!!!

NEITHER PETER OR I ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR ROSTERS!!!

These are YOUR TEAMS, keep up with them, check your guys. IF THEY SWITCH A TEAM IN THE NFL IT IS YOUR RESPONSIBILITY TO REPORT IT TO PETER AND I. Normally we catch everything, but there is always a chance of missing something. And if you don't give an effort to at least follow your guys and know who the hell they play for, I will be hard pressed to give credit after the fact. Especially if it changes the outcome of a game.

WITH THAT SAID, Check your roster NOW!!! IF, there are any mistakes, REPLY IN THE COMMENTS SECTION BELOW!! and ONLY THERE!! I will not be checking the texts. I won't check my voicemail. It is HERE, THE BLOG, that GFFL BUSINESS will transact. Available for all to see, and time stamped. More transparent than Obama could ever dream.

  1. Yeah Yeah Yeah, I was a little side tracked, not the best roster. However I picked the Carolina Panther Steve Smith not the NYG!

  4. 1)Joe D- still the champ until he's knocked out. Doesn't appear as strong as last year but that's more a testament to how good that squad was. WHAT TO WATCH: will the Newton/Ryan combo be as good as Stafford/Vick from last year? His RB's got all the "pub" and Dunta the glory in the title game but his QB's, specifically Stafford, were the true difference makers...especially in the title game.
2)BJ- this is his best team in years. If ever a year to pick Cutler, this is it. Vick was a great pick, Philly is far too loaded to shit their pants again. Welker picked a bit early and only carrying 4 WR's but we can't have everything. Defense appears to be good as well.
3)Charlie-classic Tom Brady led Charlie team. Not sexy but seems strong enough to get the job done.I really like his young WR's and I love Fred Jackson, who was as productive as anyone in GFFL last year before injury. If the D performs, Charlie will be in the thick of things...where he always seems to be.
4)Joe K-the Source threw away one season in hopes of winning that elusive second title...and early reports seem encouraging. If Eli keeps up last years pace, or close to it, his offense will be difficult to run with. I love the move to secure both Gronk and Hernandez. Will his defense keep the pace with his offense or will they let him down a la 2011 GB Packers?????

  5. 5)Peter- a lot of questions for this team, and they begin and end with AP. Had the draft been Sat 08/25 and not Sun 08/26 AP would've been in the draft and this team would look a lot different...But I could not just let him go for nothing. Stafford is a bonafide fantasy superstar yet carrying just him has it's risks, and this is a young team on both sides of the ball. Feels like a swing year that could be great or could be a turd.
6)Willie-as much as anyone, Willie is really counting on one guy and that's McFadden. With Rodgers and Megatron and a fleet of strong WR's this offense could explode on a weekly basis...if McFadden stays healthy, and that's a big IF. And it's ROMAN Harper not Ramon!
7)Todd-the GFFL version of Rex Ryan, Todd just started talking and hasn't stopped! The new guy had a strong draft save for Charlie holding his hand through his defensive picks. Looks to be more vulnerable early as week 1 could see Lynch, Mathews and MJD inactive and/or ineffective. Will the talkative one be proven Prophet or Charlatan???
8)Schmabby-boy that was a rough day for my boy, first a family car accident then a twisted ankle. He did get the guy he wanted in Richardson and he very much needs him to be good. A first rd pick won't always make your season but it sure as hell can break it. Drew Brees has been as productive as anyone over the last 4 seasons but him and Schmab cannot seem to get into playoffs?! Considering the TOUGH losses he endured last season, he may be due. I like the roster but he cannot afford Richardson being a bum.
